Cinq la Ruelle is a charming, late 19th century Norman townhouse, built from local stone, with a beautiful walled garden to the rear of the property. The interior of the house has been lovingly restored and brought back to life, and retains its original features. The exterior remains as is, in a faded testament to grander days gone by. The house is situated in the village of Mortain. The village itself features in the Thames & Hudson book "The Most Beautiful Villages in Normandy".

Informal bed and breakfast is available all year round at Cinq la Ruelle. The two double bedrooms and facilities are ideal for families, couples and single occupancy. Pets are also very welcome guests.

The bedrooms and bathroom are located on the first floor. The first bedroom, with queen size wrought iron bed and pale grey fireplace, overlooks the front of the house. The second bedroom, with two single beds, overlooks the garden. Both bedrooms are simply and stylishly decorated and retain their original painted window panelling and oak flooring. Linen, bedding and traditional quilts provided.

The tranquil bathroom overlooks the garden and is solely for guest use. This room features a marble fireplace complete with an authentic and ornate wood burner, dressing area and raised bathing area with a stunning French roll top bath. Towels provided.

The salon with its black marble fireplace, original oak floors and painted wall and window panelling presents the perfect atmosphere for relaxing and unwinding in after a busy day of sight-seeing, house hunting or renovating. TV, video, stereo, CDs and books are all available for guest use and comfort.

Continental breakfast (tea/coffee/fruit juice, croissants, pains aux raisins, baguettes and cereals) is taken either in the informal kitchen/dining area or weather permitting in the courtyard or garden. The choice is yours.

The house also features a large garden with outdoor dining and relaxing area. Guest parking is available at the front of the house, with additional free parking nearby.
